TRANSITION HOUSE IN WRONG AREA

To the Editor,

Shame on the city and the John Howard Society for deciding it was a good
idea to put a drug transition house in the backyard of a day care.

The decision to put the drug transition house in this neighbourhood was
done with no public input. When the city was approached by concerned
business owners in the area the city was under the impression that the
community was in favour.

All levels of government including the city of Nanaimo are pushing for
small businesses to flourish, but now they are on the verge of destroying one.
