FORMER DEPUTY FACES PRISON IN DRUG CASE
A former Wayne County Sheriff's Office deputy pleaded guilty in U.S.
District Court on Thursday to charges he distributed illegal drugs
while working in law enforcement.
Federal prosecutors say Dorian Merriewether, 36, of Farmington Hills
used his position as a deputy to transport and distribute cocaine and
marijuana to inmates in the Wayne County Jail.
He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison when he is
sentenced Nov. 15.
