UNNECESSARY EFFORT
Why did those eight officers go down that muddy old trail to arrest
the seven juveniles ("Toking up on Turkey Island," Chronicle, April
29)?
With only one way out they could have set in a couple of squad cars
and waited. The juveniles would have surrendered at the sight of a
couple bags of chips and soda.
