DRUGS: PARAPHERNALIA BOUGHT - OR CREATED
Dear Editor,
Your correspondents cannot be so foolish as to think that youngsters would
not think of ingenious ways to consume drugs, were paraphernalia not
available [Tools of trade should be illegal, April 26 Letters to the
Editor, Langley Advance News].
If glass pipes and bongs are out-lawed, then users will construct pipes
from metal piping of every size and description. Glass blowers might even
just be forced underground.
There will always be the experimenters who might just roll their cannabis
up with their school lessons or their Bibles, if they cannot buy papers.
One thing is for sure: temptation is ever present, and the sooner kids are
exposed to it, the sooner there will be no need for police protection.
Rather than punishing merchants, why not just leave a business alone, if it
is serving the demands of its customers?
And how about the prohibitionists? How are we going to once more save the
children from those misguided fools?
