EDITORIAL CORRECT TO CALL FOR LESS HARSH DRUG POLICY

I applaud FLORIDA TODAY's April 26 editorial, "Change the strategy,"
recommending mandatory drug treatment instead of prison for first-time
drug offenders.

After all, these are victimless crimes.

In fact, why not legalize possession of these drugs while keeping drug
dealing illegal? The cost of existing drug policies is horrific.
