DRUG TESTING IS NOT THE SCHOOLS' JOB
Regarding "Middle schools offer parents drug-test kits" (Valley & State,
May 9):
I was outraged.
It is not at all ethical to submit kids to random drug testing. If parents
have reason to believe their child is involved in something that is
unacceptable, then they need to do something about it, not the school.
It is not our jobs as taxpayers to hand out random drug tests to parents
who are overly suspicious.
