AN ANTI-CRIME SOLUTION

This is in response to the anti-crime legislation article that ran (May 9)
in The Sun. This is part of the continued dilemma that surrounds the
abduction of Jessica Lunsford.

One possible solution would be to re-evaluate the sentencing guidelines (or
lack thereof), which imprisons thousands of drug addicts for petty crimes
and allows the John Coueys of the world to roam freely among us.

Simply put, pay for the addicts' treatment and house sex offenders in
prison. This would alleviate the need to build more prisons and will save
lives - not just those of the drug addicts, but also the children.
