SOME TRY TO USE BIBLE TO JUSTIFY THEIR WAY OF THINKING
In answer to the letter of May 12, "Use of marijuana is biblical and should
be legal," by Stan White.
After laughing out loud then shaking my head, I looked in my Bible, no word
Kaneh Bosm or cannabis. Well, so I went to the books and verses Mr. White
said fit his view. Sorry, he falls into most people's thinking. Try to make
the Bible fit his way of thinking.
He sent me to Timothy 4:1-6. Well, he fit verse one, but the key words are
in verse three "abstain from meats, foods, which God hath created to be
received." This may surprise him, God made things that He didn't want us to
eat. I know all about the false teaching in Acts 10 that God cleaned all
things. Please read the whole chapter. He was not talking about food, it
was men (Gentiles). I think 50-80 percent of disease would be wiped out if
people would follow God's health laws. Deuteronomy 14, among others.
