DRUG USERS HAVE JUST MOVED

I disagree with Mayor Larry Campbell's statement that the safe-injection
site is working.

Ever since the city tried to "clean up" the Downtown Eastside with
increased policing and a safe injection site, there has been an enormous
increase in drug users shooting up in the West End.

I've seen, on numerous occasions, drug users injecting themselves on the
stairs leading up to a building at the back of my apartment.

Recently, myself and a few friends saw a used needle that had been dumped
on Denman Street.

Not only has this increased but so have the numbers of break-ins, thefts,
dumpster divers and street people sleeping in our doorways.

Before Campbell makes such a statement, he should come and sit on my
balcony for 10 minutes to see what is really going on.
