OPEN YOUR EYES

I FEEL sorry for Steve Clements of the Legalise Cannabis Alliance. He takes
the time and trouble to write informed and intelligent letters to the
Evening Press (June 1) and how do the people of York reciprocate?

Well, if the replies on these pages are anything to go by, they don't
actually read or understand his words, they just see the word cannabis and
the Pavlovian "drugs are bad, mmmkay" response is triggered.

An infamous German statesman once said: "How fortunate for leaders that men
don't think" and just look at the trouble he was allowed to cause.

Please people of York, ignore the propaganda, open your eyes and think for
yourselves.
