OUR CHILDREN WILL HAVE TO UNRAVEL DRUG MESS

Just where is the end of the road in this rush to make drugs readily
available and drug use legal? Surely we don't think that lawful drug use
will end at marijuana? I have no doubt that first it will be marijuana,
then cocaine, then crystal meth, then heroin. All will be legal and will we
then have a province that we are proud of? One where we are happy to raise
our families in a safe environment without fear of them becoming addicts? I
fear not.

It is our responsibility to pass on a better living environment to our
children and grandchildren than what our parents gave us. We have failed
miserably.

With Vancouver Mayor Larry Campbell's leadership, we are about to double up
on the problem. Go ahead with your reforms, Mr. Mayor, but when the errors
of your ways become more clear, our children will have a demanding job to
reverse your mistakes.
