SPECIOUS REASONING
Ike Awgu's reasoning for continuing to bring the force of criminal law down
upon Canadians who use or sell marijuana is specious. He says it's because
some of his friends' lives were ruined by the drug.
If the state were to prohibit any substance that poses a significant risk
of ruining the lives of a minority of those who indulge in said substance,
wouldn't it prohibit alcohol and tobacco too?
If Mr. Awgu is suggesting that alcohol and tobacco be banned too, he should
have told us. If he supports the present regime of banning some potentially
harmful drugs and not other potentially harmful drugs, he is at best
confused, at worst a hypocrite.

(Perhaps he thinks two drugs on the market are enough?)
