TESTING KIT FOR METH EFFECTIVE DETERRENT
It is shocking to see how crystal meth is spreading so rapidly and
causing so much hurt and harm to families, and the future of the users.
Giving this some thought, I wondered if it would be possible to come
up with an at-home test kit: a saliva-type of strip, for instance. We
have across-the-counter test kits for many things, and this is one of
those "need to know" tests.
If such a test kit were available to schools, police and parents, it
would at least send a message to users that we care, and will be
monitoring those in question on a random basis.
I would suggest this would serve as a deterrent and allow parents the
opportunity to ensure for themselves that the actions of their child
is either part of changes associated with growing up or caused by drugs.
If drugs are evident, then appropriate drug counselling or rehab would
be in order. In the long run all would benefit.
We all want our children to do well in life, so let's do whatever we
have to do to get them to adulthood safely.
