DRUG FREE ZONES ARE JUST A FEEL-GOOD MEASURE

Re: Will it work? editorial on drug free zones

My repugnance toward drug crime is the fact that it's criminal in the first
place, and not treated as the health issue it really is.

Prohibition is why you need these zones" which lawyers tell me are simply a
feel-good measure: the judge has the ultimate discretion. Regulate
marijuana, get meth users help and kids won't come to school stoned any
more often then they come to school drunk. And George Orwell can stay on
the shelf in the library, not in their belongings.
