LEGISLATION HAS NEW NUMBER

Fran Lombardo should check his facts. The bill number he references
for the marijuana legislation filed by Rep. [Patricia] Jehlen is the
number it was assigned last session. This session the "Act to Impose
a Civil Fine for the Possession of Marijuana" is House 862
www.mass.gov/legis/bills/house/ht00/ht00862.htm and Senate Bill 1151
www.mass.gov/legis/bills/senate/st01/st01151.htm, a similar bill was
again filed by Sen. Charles Shannon before his passing. As Mr.
Shannon's support from 2001 demonstrates, marijuana law reform is
neither a left nor right issue.
