DRUG BUST STORY IRRESPONSIBLE

Re: RCMP nets meth in drug house busts, Jun 14.

Don't you know that alcohol was once prohibited by law and that the
law was abolished when it became apparent that prohibiting the drug
caused more harm than leaving users alone?

Isn't it just possible that the same thing is happening now with
respect to illegal drugs?

Don't you think you should acknowledge this possibility by including
in stories such as this the comments of those who oppose the law?

Don't you think that a responsible editor would encourage debate on
this issue rather than swamping readers with one-sided accounts of
these drug busts that have the effect of government propaganda in
favour of prohibition?
