OPEN LETTER TO SHERIFF DUPNIK

Dear Sheriff Dupnik,

We voted for you because we thought you to be an objective crime
fighter - one who could prioritize problems and execute enforcement
based on the severity of problems.

Unfortunately, you seem to have let your personal challenges cloud
your clear view on issues like medical marijuana.

We would hope your public statements would address dangerous problems
and making Pima County a safer place to live, not (be) about catching
pot smokers.

Your boring, ho-hum stand on drugs shows that you need to regroup
your priorities.

We live in a county area being eyed by the city of Tucson. While
we've been satisfied with response from the Sheriff's Department,
follow-up is nonexistent, all the more reason to prioritize your enforcement.

Wake up, listen to the Supreme Court, what they really said and
didn't say about their recent decision.

Stop violent crime and people who hurt other people. Pot smokers are
not in that classification.
