FELGER FACES IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE
Renowned Abbotsford marijuana activist Tim Felger is in trouble with police
again - this time for drinking.
Felger says he had five beers in five hours at the Fraser Valley Inn on
July 1 and was headed back to his Bradner Road farm when he fell asleep and
crashed into a ditch near the intersection of Downes and Townline roads.
He insists he wasn't drunk, but police arrested him and he faces a drinking
and driving charge. He is to appear in Abbotsford provincial court Aug. 25,
and plans on pleading guilty.
"I was in the wrong and I'll admit that," said Felger on Thursday. "But I
wasn't inebriated or slurring my speech or anything. Five beers in five
hours - that's not an excessive amount."
"I'm sorry for drinking and driving," added Felger, who recently opened up
a Da Kine cafe in downtown Abbotsford. "I just wasn't even thinking."
