THE DRUG WAR

I'm writing about Pat Butler's thoughtful column: "Drug war needs to
target meth" (July 9).

I'd like to add that the so-called drug warriors going after
marijuana while almost ignoring our epidemic of meth is like an
emergency room surgeon treating a knee scrape with a band aid while
the patient's blood is gushing out of a severed artery in his neck.
Not exactly the best priorities.
