AGE IS IRRELEVANT WHEN IT COMES TO DRUG-DEALING

To the Editor of THE EAGLE:- The half-page ad taken out in
Wednesday's Eagle by Concerned Citizens for Appropriate Justice
(CCAJ) is appalling.

This organization is claiming that a person's age determines his or
her ability to be held accountable by the law in criminal cases. The
last time I checked, marijuana possession is illegal, regardless of
the offender's age. Selling marijuana (i.e. illegal drugs) in a
school zone is also illegal, regardless of the offender's age. If
someone knows how to obtain and sell marijuana, then he or she knows
that these actions are illegal, regardless of his or her age. I
commend District Attorney David Capeless for enforcing Berkshire
County's laws pertaining to drug dealers, regardless of the defendant's age.
