THEISMANN RIPS RICKY WILLIAMS

Former NFL quarterback-turned ESPN analyst Joe Theismann ripped Ricky
Williams during ESPN's The Dan Patrick Show on Wednesday.

"Why is Ricky Williams back playing football?" Theismann asked
rhetorically. "He doesn't want to play football. ... He's been using
[marijuana] for God knows how long. He's a guy who's basically an addict ..
and in our game it doesn't fly.

"I think he's a suspension waiting to happen for a year. He's coming back
for the money. He's not coming back for the love of the game.

"In my opinion, we've made too much of Ricky Williams. My prediction is
Ricky won't be able to stay away from the substance that he loves, and a
substance he feels he needs, and that's fine. Go on with your life.

"It shouldn't be a part of pro football and pro football shouldn't bend
over backwards to accommodate a person like that."
