PRINCE OF POT SHOULD STAY PUT
Re: Gazette, July 31," 'Prince of pot' bust sparks protest."
The fact the United States is asking our government to extradite Marc
Emery, the B.C. Marijuana Party leader, to face marijuana charges in the
United States is obscene. It is for our government to assess Emery's
activities and proceed with Canadian due process. The marijuana issue must
be evaluated by Canadian standards and the rule of law. We Canadians have
proved strong in our resolve to choose which wars we wish to fight. This
one should be no exception.
