DEPORTING PRINCE OF POT WOULD BE A SAD DAY FOR JUSTICE
Marc Emery must not be extradited to the U.S. To hand him over would be a
huge betrayal. Over the years, he has been charged and convicted seven
times on marijuana offences and done a total of three months jail time. It
is crystal clear what Canadians think is just punishment for his "crimes."
In the U.S., he would face a possible life sentence for doing something
that we consider victimless.
It would be a sad day for Canadian justice if we were to bend to the
Americans' bizarre take on selling marijuana seeds. If they don't want his
seeds, they shouldn't buy them. Leave us alone.
