AFFRONT TO OUR SOVEREIGNTY
Re: Shame on Canada, pot protestors say Aug. 2.
The arrest of Marc Emery for selling marijuana seeds, by mail, to an
American is an affront to Canadian sovereignty. Call it the Mutual
Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Act or what you will but the
reality is that a Canadian citizen has been arrested, on Canadian
soil, for an act deemed illegal only on American soil.
If this arrest is not overturned, we may as well close down our
Parliament and let the Americans write our laws.
