MILITARY WILL KEEP DRUG USER BUT REJECTED ME
Regarding the July 26 article, "Soldier Avoids Removal for use of meth":
Here I am, a Type 2 diabetic, who has written to everyone from the White
House to the govenror of Iowa to get help so I can go over to serve. I
can't understand, they won't let me go, but they will send someone who uses
illegal drugs when our military has zero-tolerance policy on drug use.
They are going to let him stay in because he was able to prove himself as a
good soldier over in Iraq. That's all I ask for, the chance to prove I can
do my job over there. I guess if I were using illegal drugs I might have a
better chance of going. There is something really wrong here.
