NO DOUBLE STANDARDS ON YOUTH AND DRUGS
I couldn't agree more with the sentiment expressed in "Worthy task for
Pignatelli" (editorial, July 27). However I would like to ask "Where was
the outcry the past few years when some youths of Pittsfield were sentenced
to the mandatory two-year sentence for similar offenses?" Does the
approximately 15-20 mile drive produce a double standard?
I would ask both communities to perhaps give this some thought. Should not
child advocacy be found on a level playing field?
