ENABLING ILLEGAL DRUG ABUSE
There's nothing insightful about Insite's reprieve. The whole concept
is nothing more than a multi-level government approach to enabling
illegal drug abuse.
The Mustel Group poll showing 63 per cent of B.C. residents agreeing
with the extension is beyond mystifying.
Somewhere down the road there is going to be an overdose death within
the walls of Insite. The ensuing lawsuit blaming the federal,
provincial and local governments for facilitating the death will put
the whole program back on the street.
The evidence of success should be readily visible within a three-
block radius of the injection centre and the proponents would have to
be blind not to see that it is not working.
