MARIJUANA MAYHEM

HAMILTON -- Three people face charges after a scuffle with police at
Hamilton's marijuana cafe.

Two officers in uniform entered Up in Smoke yesterday and noticed a patron
smoking marijuana in a pipe. The officers tried to arrest the man, but two
other patrons allegedly stepped in and assaulted police.

Police said one of the patrons ended up on the ground and bit the curb,
egging on officers to step on his head.

No one was injured, but one man was charged with simple possession and
another man with obstructing police and creating a disturbance.

A woman was charged with assaulting police and obstructing police.
