EMERY COVERAGE CAME UP SHORT

I was not surprised to read on the front cover of Metro's Friday edition:
"Emery Fears for Life."

Marc Emery would be the first person who could qualify to be executed for
drug crimes under a recent U.S. law for seed sales.

If he were to be extradited and prosecuted Emery would get a minimum of 10
years, or worse, he could get life imprisonment under "Drug Kingpin"
legislation. The manufacture or distribution of large amount of marijuana
are all included in death penalty provisions of the medieval law passed
recently by the U.S. congress.

I was, however, surprised not to see any more filler on the Emery saga
beyond the front page of the edition.
