DIVERGENT VIEWS ON MEDICAL MARIJUANA ISSUE
Regarding "San Diego opposes county on pot suit" (Our Region, Dec.
28):
The City Attorney's Office should not be intervening in the matter of
marijuana ID cards. Not all citizens of San Diego think we should be
allocating tax dollars for a card program.
I believe Californians were misled when they voted for Proposition
215. It has turned out to be nothing more than a campaign to legalize
drugs. It's been shown anyone with enough money can obtain a
recommendation to smoke marijuana. You don't even have to be sick. I
appreciate the county Board of Supervisors for recognizing the card ID
program for what it represents.
