LEAVE BARRINGTON WITH ITS DRUG DEALERS

To the Editor of THE EAGLE:- It became quite apparent during the Kyle
Sawin trials that many people in South County were sympathetic to
those who sold drugs, the results of which prompted a cry for help
from Great Barrington officials. Obviously, this sympathy carried over
to the jurors as well.

I would suggest that the next time Great Barrington has a problem with
drug dealers (and there will be a next time), our police department
should refuse any help. There's plenty of work for our officers right
here in Pittsfield, where their efforts are appreciated.
