MARIJUANA IS DANGEROUS

I have been sitting here thinking about the gentleman who was released from
prison a few months ago. He came to the conclusion that they should
legalize marijuana; he claims that there is nothing wrong with it.

As I am contemplating his claim, I have come to my own conclusions; yes,
maybe we should also legalize rape, murder, robbery, assault, kidnapping
and every other criminal crime. That way there would be no need to have
police officers, judges, juries, and we would save the county money paid to
them for sitting and listening to the plea-bargaining that goes on in our
courtrooms. I know lawyers would be out of a job it this was to be done.

No, on second thought maybe this gentleman (and I use the term loosely)
should just get his head screwed on right and get a life.

Many of us are working to get the message out to the younger generation
about how dangerous marijuana is and how it is a gateway drug. Studies have
proven this. Not only does marijuana affect the mind and judgment, but it
affects the body, too.

I belong to the Cherry Valley Regional Drug Free Coalition. We make it our
business to help grade school, middle school and high school children get
all the facts about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

So, please ignore this recently released prisoner's views and other who
share his belief to legalize marijuana. All they do is ruin kids' lives.
The kids of today are the future of tomorrow.
