SUPPORT MEDICAL MARIJUANA
Thanks. It is rare that a patient is given the opportunity to speak bluntly
and with room for explanation of our cause of returning therapeutic
cannabis to the National Pharmacopeia. I would respectfully contend that
your sentence indicating that cannabis has been lightly studied as a
medicine is inaccurate. I understand this is "common knowledge" and that
the anecdotal is the source of therapeutic cannabis knowledge in our modern
world, say the pundits.
Punditry is hardly a science based enterprise but clinical research is all
about science.
I would refer you to www.drugscience.org. This site is the home of "The
Petition to Reschedule Cannabis" where you will find a 60 page plus demand
for rescheduling that has been passed with merit by the Drug Enforcement
Agency to the Deparrtment of Health and Human Services for evaluation. The
press, journalists such a you, can help us to educate the medical
community, and elected officials of the totality of cannabis research but
only if you and I can express the complete story of this plant and its
human interface with accuracy, accountability and exposure.
