ASSEMBLY OVERLOOKS RIGHT TO PRIVACY IN DEBATE OVER COLD MEDICINE SALES

Is methamphetamine a problem for Anchorage? ("Proposal to restrict
cold drug sales stalls," Oct. 1.) Let's assume it is and not a bunch
of media hype for a slow news day. Do I feel threatened by it? Hardly.
What worries me more are people like Ms. Anna Fairclough and Mr. Allan
Tesche.

A curse on all Assembly members who think giving government more access
to our personal lives is the answer!

If restriction of pseudoephedrine-containing over-the-counter
medications is a must, then take it off the shelves and require a
prescription. My health is a concern for only me and my doctor -- not
the Anchorage Police Department.

Darn that pesky right to privacy! Why can't it just go away?
