RETAILERS TO WATCH SALES OF METH-MAKING MEDICINES
Victoria -- B.C. is moving to keep a closer eye on large sales of cold
medicines that can be used to make crystal meth. Police, pharmacists
and retailers will be watching closely for bulk sales and large thefts
of cold medications.
Solicitor-General John Les said that if there is evidence retail
products are being misused, the government will restrict their sale to
licensed pharmacies.
The government has already earmarked $7-million for anti-meth
programs, additional treatment resources and public awareness and
education campaigns.
