WATCHING OUT FOR ADDICTION
The Community Safety & Crime Prevention Council (CS&CPC) presents "In
the Mind's Eye", a three-day film festival Nov. 15-17 that will
explore the theme of addiction in its many forms - gambling, alcohol
and/or drugs. The festival is a project of the substance abuse
committee of the CS&CPC.
Through cinema and panel discussions, the festival seeks to educate
and work towards eliminating the stigma attached to those living with
and recovering from addictions.
It will showcase the award-winning Canadian short film "Ryan" and five
feature-length films: "Most High", "Days of Wine & Roses", "Luck",
"Clean" and "On the Outs".
All films will be shown at the Princess Cinema and Princess Twin in
Waterloo. Call 883-2304.
