PROVIDE MORE TREATMENT
I live in a town where crack use is rampant. Everyone, including the
RCMP, knows who the dealers are and who is buying it. Yet our Mounties
sit by and watch blatant drug-dealing and drug use, saying "we're
investigating, we need more evidence."
Now government will supply free mouthpieces to help the problem along
a little more.
Apparently, treating the hepatitis C problem created by sharing pipes
costs up to $143 million a year. Providing these mouthpieces will
costs us mere cents.
Am I missing something? Could these millions being spent on hep C not
be spent on treatment for the addiction instead?
The last time I checked this type of drug use was illegal.
