POLICE DRUG SQUAD HITS HIGHER LEVEL DEALERS

Mid-level drug traffickers are feeling the heat in the fight against
crime.

At least six arrests of what the RCMP's drug section believe are
mid-level traffickers have been made since April as a result of drug
and undercover police operations.

Police say in a news release that the quantities of drugs seized from
the arrested suspects "support that they were mid-level drug
traffickers who supplied street-level traffickers and several known
drug houses within Chilliwack and neighbouring communities."

Chilliwack RCMP released a list of the arrests rather than individual
press releases to avoid jeopardizing ongoing investigations. The list
includes one Hope man, [name deleted] who is charged with three
counts of trafficking cocaine.
