POT IS NOT THE PROBLEM
I am sick to death of hearing about how wonderful the Edmonton Police
Services's "Green Team" is for busting up these "dangerous" grow-ops
("Grow-op operated throughout city," The Journal, Dec. 7).
With all the crime in this city, why can't our police focus on the
root of those crimes -- crystal meth and other dangerous drugs?
Do you honestly think that pot smokers are the ones out there stabbing
and shooting people on the streets every other day? C'mon and wake up,
EPS. You are kidding yourselves and covering up the real threat to
citizens. Pot does not mean users will move on to hard-core drugs.
On the other hand, hard-core drugs such as crystal meth lead to
violent crimes every day.
