LET'S NOT FOLLOW U.S. EXAMPLE
Mandatory drug testing of ferry crews is just the kind of solution
that a conservative with tunnel vision would come up with.
Let's just trot down the path of the U.S. model and start chiselling
down the rights of private citizens. Maybe we should have a torture
bill of our own because, after all, we have the safety of the public
to think about and we can do no wrong if our intentions are right. Right?
If we really want to do something drastic to promote public safety in
transportation, maybe we should strip car manufacturers of the right
to advertise their latest model tearing down a city street at
breakneck speed. That's where people are being killed.
