SAFE INJECTIONS DON'T EXIST
Safe injection sites should be as controversial as legally assisted
suicide. Most of us know if one injects drugs intravenously, there is
an extreme danger of a lethal overdose.
In the past, we can remember a string of deaths due to heroin
overdoses in Victoria. The reason for the deaths was thought to be
because the users were caught off guard. They were not aware of just
how potent the drugs available in town were as they were injecting.
When drugs are injected, people are on the edge of life and death.
The heart rate soars, with blood pressure, and the failure of the
heart can result. How could a government say that this can be done
safely in a injection site!
The only safe way to inject drugs that are illegal and sold on the
street market, is not to do so at all!

Saanich.
