ICE TEAM RECEIVES 5 NATIONAL AWARDS

The Davidson County Sheriff's Office Interstate Criminal Enforcement
team started the new year off on a good foot at a conference in
Nashville, Tenn. The team was presented with five awards by the
National Criminal Enforcement Association.

The annual event, hosted by the organization based in Marietta, Ga.,
caters to about 2,500 officers assigned primarily to drug
investigations and prevent efforts. The ICE team members, who cannot
be identified because of the nature of their job, said receiving the
awards makes them feel "appreciated."

"It's an accomplishment," said one of the officers who has been on
the ICE team for four years.
