METH-LACED MARIJUANA WARNING

The Delta Police Department is warning marijuana users to be aware of
the possibility the product they're smoking could be laced with crystal meth.

The police have received information this is occurring in order to
facilitate a new addiction to methamphetamines in those using
marijuana recreationally or socially.

Police are very concerned about this as the use of meth, whether or
not it is combined with marijuana, can cause extremely serious
medical and health related issues and is extremely addictive.

Methamphetamines can be consumed in a variety of ways which include,
but are not limited to, snorting, injecting, and smoking. Police say
incorporating meth into a marijuana joint would be simple and could
easily go undetected.

Superintendent in charge of operations, Brad Parker, is requesting
anyone with information about the trafficking of meth or any other
drugs within Delta to contact the Delta Police at 604-946-4411. For
