JOURNAL GIVES INJECTION SITE GOOD GRADES
A new study published in the British Medical Journal is supporting
Vancouver's supervised injection site, reporting that Insite isn't
having any negative impact on intravenous drug users in the Downtown Eastside.
In fact, the study showed a substantial reduction in binge drug use,
suggesting Insite is not leading to more frequent drug use.
However, researchers recommended cutting down wait times to access
Insite and urged extending operating hours to further reduce syringe
sharing in shooting galleries.
