KIDS GRADUATE FROM DARE PROGRAM
Thirty-two Frisco Elementary School fifth-graders graduated from a
14-week-long Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program Wednesday
night.
Police Officer Lance Fitzgerald instructed the classes. He taught
students to say no to using drugs, and about how drugs effect the body.
After speaking about the program and performances by the children, the
fifth-graders were all recognized for graduating from DARE. Miikka
Wickman and Madeline Voutour read their DARE essays to the audience.
Officer Fitzgerald made it clear that the DARE program is only part of
the solution to keeping kids off of drugs. He said that parents must
be involved at home.
