ABBOTSFORD DECLARES MORE GROW-OP HOMES UNSAFE

Abbotsford bylaw inspectors are continuing to crack down on the
landowners of suspected marijuana grow-ops.

When city inspectors deem find evidence of a grow op, they deem a
house unsafe for occupancy, filing notice in the Land Title Office
against the title of the properties according to the Controlled
Substance Property bylaw.

The houses cannot be occupied until they are cleaned, certified by an
industrial hygienist and pass a safety inspection.

The following house owners have been identified in the last city
report and includes a partial list of the reasons:

- - 2728 Bradner Rd. -- owners are Harveer Singh Toor and Satinder Kaur
Toor. Inspectors reported finding marijuana plants and 1,000 watt grow
bulbs.

- - 3535 Ross Rd. -- Lan Phuong Truong. Inspectors found mould on the
house walls, dried marijuana leaves, air filter and fans, and hundreds
of planting pots in barn.

- - 2457 Sugarpine St. -- Long Thang Tran. Inspectors found electrical
bypass, and planting pots, and mould on the basement walls.

- - 2294 Bakerview St. -- Vicki Marie Thoss. Inspectors discovered
marijuana odor in house, black mould in basement, large vents and
blowers in basement.

- - 2147 Topaz St. -- An Hoang Nguyen. Discovery of electrical bypass,
mould, grow-op materials.

- - 2108 Ridgeway St. -- Kulwinder Kaur Johal. Finding of watering
station, vent holes, an marijuana plant stocks.
