B.A.D. NEEDS VOLUNTEERS FOR COMMUNITY WATCH PATROL

If your interested in helping to keep Barriere a safe place to live
you may want to join the Barriere Against Drugs (B.A.D) volunteer patrol.

Residents who enjoy walking and would like to help are encouraged to
attend a Wednesday, Feb. 15 meeting at the North Thompson Volunteer
and Information Centre at 1 pm.

"RCMP Corporal Mike Mucha will be on hand to explain what our patrol
can and cannot do," said B.A.D. Core Group member Lisa Quiding, "The
meeting will be on a very casual level and we are inviting anyone who
is interested to attend."

The organization's volunteer patrol is designed to assist the area
police force by being observant - the eyes and ears within the community.

"We are not demanding a large commitment of time," said Quiding,"
Just what fits each persons schedule and what they feel comfortable
in doing. The program will benefit all who reside here."

Anyone who is interested in the B.A.D. program may call Lisa Quiding
at 672-0033, or attend the North Thompson Volunteer and Information
Centre's Open House on Feb. 6, from 1 to 4 p.m. where information
will be available.
