NEEDLES SHOULD HAVE A POINT

Mayor Alan Lowe wants to create a taxpayer-funded facility for the
purpose of safe injection for drug users. To the best of my knowledge
the drugs the users inject are illegal. So, now we would have a
safe-injection site -- with free needles of course -- to help drug
users, through prolonged use, to kill themselves.

I am an insulin-dependent diabetic who has to pay for my insulin, my
needles and glucose monitoring equipment to keep myself alive.

Would someone be so kind as to tell me what is wrong with this
picture?
