CASUALTIES OF WAR ON DRUGS
I am so saddened by these recent deaths in Surrey. If this government
continues its "war on drugs" in the same way as in the U.S., there
will continue to be deaths and innocent people will be caught in the
middle.
The only way to stop these wars is to make all drugs legal. The
criminal element would be removed overnight, taking a huge bite out of
drug-related crime.
I'm not suggesting that drugs are safe or that everyone should use
drugs.
The idea isn't new, but we continue to bury our heads in the sand and
spend billions of dollars on fighting drug crime.
This government could save billions by controlling drugs.
This violence will never stop as long as our society continues this
senseless war.
