MOM SAYS DAUGHTER DIED 'BECAUSE OF DRUGS'

DAWSON CREEK -- A woman whose charred body was one of two pulled from
a burned vehicle was likely killed over drugs, says her mother.

Barbara Dostal says one of the bodies belonged to her 20-year-old
daughter, Natasha.

"I'm still waiting for an autopsy to see what the police say, because
we all believe it's because of drugs. We all believe it was a
murder," she said.

Natasha was a crack-cocaine user and possibly a small-time dealer,
Dostal said, and would disappear from home for days at a time.

"There's so much crack in this town, it's pathetic, and she got
caught up in it," Dostal said.

RCMP are not confirming the identities of the two found dead in the
burned car last Thursday, and they would not comment on suggestions
the two were murdered.
